  Been coming here for years, and have always loved Benihana, but the service has declined tremendously and even the people that go there had changed and decreased. We came in when there where only a few people waiting, tables where full and they said 30-40 minutes tops. We waited for over an hour! They keep siting people with parties larger to fill the tables and told us our table was paying over and over. Unless they were paying with dimes it does not take 15-20 minutes to pay. I told them they were unprofessional and should tell people true time, if they would have said and hour I would have not waited, specially with a child. They state they can only predict and someone else had a reservation and it was already half hour past their Reservation. And then they lack the cooks, so even if they had a table then we would have had to wait who knows how long. I rather drive to Coral spring then come here again, no more.

  Obviously, reviews are of the reviewers own experience, so this is mine. My first time to Benihana and the experience wasn't all that great. I believe maybe he was new, but there were no jokes and the only tricks he did, was shamefully trying to get a few pieces of vegetables in his hat and making the heart he made out of the rice move. The chef at the table next to us was way funnier and my back was facing them, so imagine if I saw the tricks. I also don't eat meat, which I told them and he still came over and made all the rice with chicken in it. I've been to many Hibachi restaurants in NY and never had a bad experience until this one.
